The Internet
The internet takes your inventiveness away.
Its immediacy gives you the real and specific.
In seconds you have the answer to a question.
In that sense it’s really quite terrific.
In other ways its less so of course.
Speculation, guesswork, and tittle-tattle are gone.
In place you now have certainty and conviction.
All that’s required is for you to log-on.
Ask Alexa or Siri rather than type a question.
This makes life even easier still.
You simply say “Alexa or Hey Siri
What is the real name of Benny Hill?”
I’m worried AI will remove our initiative further.
Soon we’ll have very little thinking to do at all.
Give AI a task and it’s done in next to no time.
But sadly it’ll take away my wherewithal.
